Unity Audio Editor
A downloadable tool
ZOOMING/SCROLLING THE AUDIO CURRENTLY DOESNT WORK (bottom right MinMaxSlider). MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ZOOMED ALL THE WAY OUT BEFORE ADDING MARKERS.
This is a editor window for Unity. The asset comes pre-packaged as a .unitypackage
Audio Editor is a editor window for Unity built for audio and beat mapping with a GUI interface.
Basic Usage
Open the Audio Editor:
Select Window -> Audio -> Audio Editor
Create new audio data: Right-click in project window -> Create -> Audio -> Audio Editor -> Audio Data
Audio Editor Options |< Set playback to start > Play from current playback position || Pause at current playback position >| Set playback to end \/ Create new marker at playback position on selected layer (select a layer first)
Adding Layers Click '+' at the bottom of the left panel
Deleting layers (THIS WILL ALSO DELETE ALL MARKERS ON THAT LAYER) Select the layer (box to the right of the layer name) Click the '-' at the bottom of the left panel
Deleting markers
Click the marker in the right panel under the audio waveform. Press 'delete' on keyboard
Simple setup steps:
1. Import your audio into Unity
2. Create a new 'Audio Data' scriptable object to store the mapped data
3. Assign audio to newly created audio data scriptable object
4. Open Audio Editor window
5. Select audio data file in audio editor window
6. Create new layer to map on (bottom left, + button)
7. Select layer to add markers onto (right of marker, grey square)
8. Add markers (top left \/ button)
